Criteria for consideration of Hall of Fame award:

CRITERIA:

(1).  Must be a current resident of the State of Hawaii.

(2).  Must be a member in the Speakers Association of Hawaii to receive SAH member price of $150.00.  If you are not a current member, you can join here: http://www.speakersassociationofhawaii.org

(3) If not a member and chose not to become a member of the Speakers Association of Hawaii the price is: $250.00

SAH Member price: $150.00

Non-SAH Member price: $250.00

HOW SHOWCASES TO BE PRESENTED:

  • Showcases will be done by pre-recorded video. The Showcase will be about one-hour with each speaker having approximately 8-minutes each. Most showcases will have 6 speakers, but some may have more or less.
  • A date and time for presentation will be set and attendees will be invited to watch the showcase live at no cost.
    • We will reach out to various groups that may have an interest in hiring professional speakers, but we cannot guarantee audience size or composition.
  • A pre-recorded introduction using the intro provide by the speaker may be added to the front of each video.  The introduction counts towards the 8-minutes so you may want to keep it short.
  • Presenters can include contact information in and during the video; it is a promo so it’s okay to let people know how to contact you.

METHOD OF VOTING:

Ballots will be offered to all showcase participants, registrants and sitting Hall of Fame Inductees in late November. All will be instructed to vote for up to five (5) nominees (i.e. votes can be spread out among different speakers are all given to one speaker. Up to five (5) recipients receiving the most votes will be inducted into the Hawaii Speakers Hall of Fame.
